  • The mighty Heep released this one ten years after their previous album Sonic Origami. Lee Kerslake left the band for health reasons and his place behind the drumkit is taken over by Russell Gillbrook.Htis album has a different sound. More bite, i'd say. Because of Russell's drumming. Russell has a more metal style of drumming, more power. It lifts their music to a more contemorary sound.The album is a kind of comeback and reinvention of the band. Still with polyphonic singing, the Hammond reinstated, Mick's guitar, Bernie's voice and Trevor Boulder as the wizzard of four strings, hammering round Russel's drumming. This album brought me back to the fanbase of Heep.
