Liner notes: "Before our 2006 European Tour, I recorded a number of seasonal songs. Whenever I am hosting Christmas at my house, I am the designated music provider. After ten or more years of doing that, I decided to add my voice to the selections we all have. A tree-trimming, fireside, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, intimate album was the result (Although I do believe if you turn it up, you could party to it) most probably essential at Christmas, is that the music, is in the spirity, knowing that family, friends and children might be listening. I wanted a selection that would please all, while still exploring the awe and mystery that is Christmas. Christmas is enigmatic, full of the magic of the human spirit. We do try to be better people for those few days. We proclaim certain virtues that are important to all from one to ninety two. Another partof my performing these songs is that they are a challenge to sing, as so many other singers have interpreted them in their own style. It was fun to come up against all that and find these songs sing themselves. So have fun, peace to you all, wherever you may be and in what ever trying circumstances. Especially my love to all those not at home for Christmas."
